Baseball Game Preview: Georgia Christian Generals vs. Community Christian Academy Eagles

The Georgia Christian Generals will head out to square off against the Community Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Georgia Christian has seven straight victories, Community Christian Academy has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Georgia Christian earned a 10-6 win over Southland Academy.

The team relied heavily on Bo Miller, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Blanton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy fell victim to Valwood and their airtight pitching crew back in March. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Valiants, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Georgia Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Community Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Georgia Christian's way against Community Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March, as Georgia Christian made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
