Baseball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour suffered their biggest defeat since April 17, 2025 on Monday. They lost 11-4 to the Pittsfield Saukees. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 15-6 to the Saukees when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Seymour saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nashtyn Wright, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Wright has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pittsfield, their record is now 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seymour will square off against West Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pittsfield, they will challenge Quincy Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
