Softball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Tishomingo

Tishomingo won the last time they faced Ada and things went their way on Saturday too. The Indians walked away with an 11-8 win over the Cougars.

Kanna Stroud made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Stroud was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Kimber Collins and Keaton Slover did most of the damage at the plate: Collins went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple, while Slover went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brynlee Martin, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.

Tishomingo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Tishomingo's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-17. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ada, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16-2.

Tishomingo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ada, they will take on McLoud at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redskins' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
