Soccer Game Preview: Discovery vs. Grayson

Discovery has won three straight games at home, while Grayson has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Titans will host the Rams at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Discovery who was credited with the victory on Monday. The Titans got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Pope's two.

Grayson is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Archer, who was ranked sixth at the time (Grayson was ranked fifth). The Rams never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win two weeks ago. Give Grayson's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Andrew Seward, who's now up to two this season.

Discovery has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five contests. As for Grayson, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Discovery beat Grayson by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
