Volleyball Recap: Howard Takes a Loss

Howard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Hanson Beavers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Howard was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-10.

Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hanson, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Howard will be playing at home against Wessington Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hanson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Titans have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
