Baseball Recap: Hercules' Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Hercules dropped their record down to 13-9-2 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They lost 18-10 to the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins. Surprisingly, this marked the Titans' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

William Hobbs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. David Silva Jr. was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

On St. Patrick-St. Vincent's side, they let Bo Smith and Madden Mendez run wild. Smith went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, five runs, and one triple, while Mendez got on base in all six of his plate appearances with six runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. Those six runs gave Mendez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Brewer, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Hercules nor St. Patrick-St. Vincent have any future games scheduled.
