Football Game Preview: Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators vs. Goodridge/Grygla Chargers

The Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators will head out on the road to challenge the Goodridge/Grygla Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Win-E-Mac 72-38. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Gators with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Goodridge/Grygla faced Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Chargers never let the Northern Freeze get on the board and left with a 36-0 win. Considering the Chargers have won three games by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Goodridge/Grygla and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River was dealt a bruising 38-6 loss at the hands of Goodridge/Grygla when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
