Softball Recap: Southland Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Southland Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 7-1 to the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since August 2, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Southland Academy and nudges their season record down to 19-9. As for Briarwood Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Southland Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Briarwood Academy, they will face off against Edmund Burke Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
