Softball Recap: Kingston Wins Going Away Against Sapulpa

Kingston came out on top against Sapulpa on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Redskins blew past the Chieftains 8-0. The match marked the Redskins' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Kingston got a great performance from Gracie Bridgman as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Emma Bridgeman and Madi Hammond did most of the damage at the plate: Bridgeman went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Hammond went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Kingston hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sapulpa struck out 13 times.

Kingston's record now sits at 3-1. As for Sapulpa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Kingston will head out on the road to take on Adair at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sapulpa, they will welcome Union at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Chieftains' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
