Basketball Recap: Reilly Fay's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Credo over Willits

Credo lost against Willits back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Credo Gryphon took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Willits Wolverines. The Gryphon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Credo lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reilly Fay, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Viola Palladini, who put up nine points.

Willits' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lyly Herman led the charge by putting up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Arion Martin, who had 12 points.

Credo's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Willits, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Credo will challenge Elsie Allen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Willits, they will take on Roseland Collegiate Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
