Recap: Laton Mustangs vs. Minarets Mustangs
The Laton Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Minarets 53-13. Laton has struggled against Minarets recently, as their game on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Gabriella Alvarado and Evelyn Buttle certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Alvarado scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds, while Buttle scored 3 points. Alvarado scored a full 53.8% of Laton's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Laton's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Minarets, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Laton will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wonderful College Prep Academy at 3:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Minarets, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Farmersville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
