Baseball Recap: Alexander Takes a Loss

Alexander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lassiter Trojans.

Alexander saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dave Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Jackson brought in this season.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lassiter, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Alexander will face off against Mount Paran Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lassiter, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Marietta at 3:30 p.m.
