Basketball Recap: Foothill Tech Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Foothill Tech played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Quartz Hill Royals, falling 62-30. The Dragons were down 52-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Foothill Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Annabella Baum, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Jocelyn Morales was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Leading Quartz Hill to victory were Ashantee Palmer and Brooke Dabo. Palmer shot 48% from the field to rack up 21 points and six steals, while Dabo went 9-for-16 en route to 19 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. What's more, Dabo also posted a 56% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Hinton, who posted eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Foothill Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Quartz Hill, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Foothill Tech will head out on the road to take on Santa Clara at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quartz Hill, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
