It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Millard North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks, sneaking past 7-6. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on Macey Jarose, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Abby Beard was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Millard North's win bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Lincoln Southwest, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-3.

Looking ahead, Millard North will challenge Pius X at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbolts have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. Lincoln Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
