The third road contest was the charm for Cozad, as they earned their first away win of the season. They blew past the Gothenburg Swedes 16-3 on Thursday. The game marked the Haymakers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Sara Howell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Hammerlun, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Henessy Cargill, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

The win got Cozad back to even at 3-3. As for Gothenburg, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Cozad will face off against Ashland-Greenwood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Gothenburg has already played their next match (against Alliance), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
