Softball Recap: Dunwoody's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Dunwoody came tearing into Thursday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lakeside Vikings as they made off with a 13-2 victory. 13 seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kaz McLoughlin was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Deupree, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dunwoody kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Dunwoody's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Lakeside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Dunwoody didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 win against North Springs on the 15th. As for Lakeside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Eastside on the 15th.
