Football Recap: Huntington Falls Despite Big Games from Adrian Johnson and Justin Whitaker + How To Watch

Huntington was the 46-35 winner over Captain Shreve when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders lost 56-34 to the Gators on Friday.

Huntington's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Justin Whitaker, who threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns, and Adrian Johnson, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one score.

Huntington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Carter and Lacedric Allen.

Huntington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Captain Shreve, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Huntington will host Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Captain Shreve, they will venture away from home to take on Natchitoches Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
