The Aptos Mariners entered their tilt with the Santa Cruz Cardinals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Aptos came out on top against Santa Cruz by a score of 46-36 on Saturday. This was a revenge matchup for Aptos, as the team was forced to settle for a 47-39 loss when these two played last Tuesday.

Aptos got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Sherwood out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. Sherwood has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabby Wickham, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.

Aptos is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Santa Cruz, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.
