Baseball Game Preview: St. Bonaventure Seraphs vs. Culver City Centaurs

The St. Bonaventure Seraphs will take on the Culver City Centaurs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Bonaventure is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

St. Bonaventure is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Mayfair get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

St. Bonaventure's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Richardson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Culver City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley Christian, sneaking past 8-6. That's two games straight that the Centaurs have won by exactly two runs.

Saul Sandoval and Nolan Riesenberg did most of the damage at the plate: Sandoval went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Riesenberg went 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs. Culver City is 6-1 when Riesenberg posts two or more runs, but 7-14-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Carbo, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Culver City's victory bumped their record up to 13-15-1. As for St. Bonaventure, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.
