Soccer Recap: Pope Comes Up Short

Pope managed to keep up with River Ridge until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Pope Greyhounds lost 3-0 to the River Ridge Knights. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Knights are ranked second).

Pope is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for River Ridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Pope will challenge Hillgrove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River Ridge, they will host Creekview at 8:00 p.m. on March 18th.
