Recap: Carondelet Cougars vs. Christian Brothers Falcons
The Carondelet Cougars won the last time they faced the Christian Brothers Falcons, and things went their way on Saturday too. Carondelet took down Christian Brothers 52-37. Given Carondelet's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Christian Brothers is ranked 120th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Christian Brothers lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joy Omishakin, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amor Corcoran, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Carondelet is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. As for Christian Brothers, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.
Carondelet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Brothers, they will head out on the road to face off against Del Campo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Brothers is facing Del Campo at the right time seeing as Del Campo is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
