It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chico had no problem doing just that on Thursday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Chico Panthers who were credited with the win. The Chico Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Bakersfield Christian Eagles's two. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Chico pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Bakersfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.

Coming up, Chico will welcome Maria Carrillo at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Maria Carrillo will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Chico surely won't give up without a fight. Bakersfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
