Paso Robles took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Clovis, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bearcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 2-1.

Amayah Buenrostro and Briseida Guardado scored both of Paso Robles' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Paso Robles' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Paso Robles will welcome Buckley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Clovis, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Madera South at 5:00 p.m. on December 3.
