Basketball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 53-18 defeat at the hands of the Lindhurst Blazers. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Blazers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Yolanda Gonzalez went supernova for Lindhurst, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Ashlynn Wheeler was another key player, putting up ten points.

San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Lindhurst, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

San Juan will be playing in front of their home fans against Vacaville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lindhurst, they will square off against Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lindhurst is facing Highlands at the right time seeing as Highlands is stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
