Basketball Recap: Bradshaw Mountain Takes a Loss

Bradshaw Mountain suffered their biggest defeat since February 15, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 49-18 loss at the hands of the Cibola Raiders. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Kalli Smith and Victoria Holliday, who each put up four points. Smith also led the team in rebounds with seven.

Mariana Vega continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cibola, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Vega is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last eight games she's played. Jaida Bosch was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bradshaw Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cibola, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Bradshaw Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-35 loss against Marana on the 2nd. As for Cibola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-51 defeat against Mica Mountain on the 2nd.
