Softball Recap: Riceville Takes a Loss

Riceville was the 7-3 winner over South Winneshiek when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Warriors on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riceville's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for South Winneshiek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record this season.

Riceville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-6 defeat against Clarksville on the 25th. As for South Winneshiek, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-5 loss against Kee on the 25th.
