Dunwoody waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Lovett Lions. Considering the Wildcats have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Anslie Worley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, earning three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaz McLoughlin, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Vivian Curry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in seven consecutive matches.

Dunwoody's record is now 10-3. As for Lovett, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Dunwoody wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-2 win against Lakeside on the 11th. As for Lovett, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 defeat against Holy Innocents Episcopal on the 15th.
