Soccer Game Preview: Beyer vs. Central Valley

The Beyer Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Central Valley Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beyer will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

While Beyer's win against Livingston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots never let Wolves get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Beyer's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Livingston are ranked 885th).

Meanwhile, Central Valley got the win against Pacheco on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. Central Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Beyer's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Central Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2.

Beyer skirted past Central Valley 2-1 when the teams last played on January 6th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
