Softball Recap: Scottsbluff Takes a Loss

Scottsbluff made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Elkhorn, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bearcats fell just short of the Antlers by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bearcats have suffered since September 13th.

Loural McCoy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Danielle Hunter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Scottsbluff's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Elkhorn, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12.

Scottsbluff has already played their next matchup, a 19-15 loss against Chadron on the 30th. As for Elkhorn, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Blair on the 29th.
