Basketball Game Preview: Cloverdale Eagles vs. Berean Christian Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Cloverdale and Berean Christian will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.

Cloverdale was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lower Lake on Thursday. Cloverdale was the clear victors by a 59-36 margin over Lower Lake. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Cloverdale relied on the efforts of Amara Galvan, who posted 15 points and five rebounds, and Ronni Hatcher, who had 12 points and eight boards. Hatcher is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Berean Christian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They managed a 56-52 victory over the Marlins.

The win got Cloverdale back to even at 12-12. As for Berean Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-15.

Cloverdale didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Berean Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Berean Christian's Gabrielle Abigor, who earned 26 points.
