Softball Recap: Northwood Temple Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Northwood Temple Academy dropped their record down to 10-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 11-1 to the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots. The Eagles were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Patriots' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Freedom Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 games by six runs or more this season.

For Freedom Christian Academy's part, Rylan Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 4.1 innings pitched. Miller has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Freedom Christian Academy let Genesis Lebron and Aubrey Multerer run wild. Lebron went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Multerer went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Multerer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.

As of now, neither Northwood Temple Academy nor Freedom Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
