Soccer Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Washington was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Pleasant Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mt. Pleasant this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in April.

Washington's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Mt. Pleasant, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington is set to face off against their familiar foe Fairfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant will challenge rival Keokuk at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
