Football Recap: Windom Comes Up Short

Windom lost against Luverne back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Cardinals are ranked 87th).

Windom now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Luverne, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Windom will venture away from home to challenge Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Luverne, they will square off against Le Sueur-Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
