Basketball Recap: Willow Glen Takes a Loss

Willow Glen lost against Christopher back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Willow Glen Rams took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christopher Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Cougars are ranked 151st).

Willow Glen dropped their record down to 12-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Christopher, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Willow Glen will host Branham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christopher, they will venture away from home to challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Christopher has seven straight victories, Pioneer has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
