Recap: Orange Glen Patriots vs. Escondido Charter White Tigers
The Orange Glen Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 61-32 defeat at the hands of Escondido Charter. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Orange Glen in their matchups with Escondido Charter: they've now lost three in a row.
Escondido Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noelle Champagne out in front who scored 16 points along with six steals. Champagne is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Mowrey, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Orange Glen's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Escondido Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Orange Glen will be playing at home against Maranatha Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Escondido Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Buena Vista at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
