Basketball Recap: Baldwin's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Baldwin waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Bethel Park Black Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-57 back in January.

Several Black Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella Sabatos, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Sabatos a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Kathryn Boff, who posted nine points and five steals.

Baldwin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Bethel Park, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.

Baldwin and Bethel Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Baldwin will challenge Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 63 places (80 vs. 17). Meanwhile, Bethel Park (ranked 107th) will meet Peters Township (ranked eighth) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
