Football Recap: Macarthur Starts off Right with Win over Cypress Ridge + How To Watch

MacArthur had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 23-13 win over the Cypress Ridge Rams on Thursday. For the Generals, this counts as revenge for the 17-16 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

MacArthur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Korey Fisher, who rushed for 116 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Cano, who picked up 121 receiving yards and one touchdown.

MacArthur didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Quan Reynolds and Noel Moctezuma.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-21 loss against Channelview on the 5th. As for Cypress Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 50-16 defeat against Nimitz on the 5th.
