            Softball Recap: Nebraska City Pioneers vs. Raymond Central Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Nebraska City waltzed into their matchup  on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Raymond Central Mustangs as they made off with  an  11-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won five contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.

 The team  relied heavily on  Hanna Marth, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Reesyn Becker, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
Nebraska City's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Raymond Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-7.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nebraska City will venture away from home to  face off against Platteview  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Pioneers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three games. As for Raymond Central, they will take on Arlington on Tuesday.
