Softball Recap: Affton Takes a Loss

Affton couldn't beat Ladue Horton Watkins on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Cougars lost 23-7 to the Rams. The Cougars have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Affton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Affton will welcome Mehlville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they will venture away from home to square off against Parkway Central at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
