Football Recap: Goodland Does not Make It Easy on Oakley's Passing Game

Goodland got themselves on the board against Oakley on Friday, but Oakley never followed suit. They came out on top against the Plainsmen by a score of 7-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chayton Goodwin was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Goodland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Bo Weibel, Braden Fisher, and Ethan Horinek, who each picked up one sack apiece.
