Softball Recap: Flint River Academy Wildcats vs. Heritage Hawks

Flint River Academy extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-11. They came up short against the Heritage Hawks, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on September 2nd.

Kinley Rasbury made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Heritage, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 14th (when they won 17-7).

On Heritage's side, Izabella Sewell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Abby Dunlap, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flint River Academy will face off against Upson-Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.81 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Heritage, they will challenge Loganville Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
