Softball Recap: Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy Comes Up Short

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Elbert County Blue Devils, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Elbert County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in September.

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Elbert County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elbert County, they will venture away from home to take on Thomson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
