Basketball Recap: St. Christopher Academy Falls to New Garden Friends in First Game of Season

St. Christopher Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 56-38 fall against the New Garden Friends Bears.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Garden Friends to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kingston Clifton, who posted 14 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Clifton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 22 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Valentine Abens, who had nine points along with five assists and five boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Christopher Academy will head out to face off against South Guilford HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Garden Friends, they will venture away from home to challenge The Burlington School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
