Softball Recap: Valor Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Valor Christian can now relate to. They came up short against the Columbine Rebels on Saturday, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

The defeat snapped Valor Christian's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-10 record. As for Columbine, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Valor Christian has already played their next game, a 29-18 victory against Rock Canyon on the 18th. As for Columbine, they will welcome Grandview at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
