Recap: Towanda Black Knights vs. North Penn-Liberty Mountie
The Towanda Black Knights's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They managed a 42-37 win over North Penn-Liberty. That's another feather in the cap for Towanda, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, North Penn-Liberty had strong showings from Haley Litzelman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Tierney Patterson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Litzelman is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
The win got Towanda back to even at 4-4. As for North Penn-Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Towanda will head out on the road to take on North Penn-Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Penn-Liberty, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Troy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Troy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
