Basketball Recap: Hailey Moy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Urban

Lick-Wilmerding won the last time they faced Urban and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lick-Wilmerding Tigers put the hurt on the Urban Blues with a sharp 46-25 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lick-Wilmerding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hailey Moy, who posted 16 points and five boards. Moy's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Robins, who put up seven points in addition to 11 rebounds and four steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Lick-Wilmerding and bumps their season record up to 13-9. As for Urban, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers face off against the Marin Academy Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lick-Wilmerding is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. Urban has already played their next contest (against San Domenico), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
