Basketball Recap: Lancaster's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

Lancaster won the last time they faced Knight and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lancaster Eagles came out on top against the Knight Hawks by a score of 46-33. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Hawks are ranked 731st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Knight saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kailah Holley posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Mardria Logan, who earned two points.

The victory made it two in a row for Lancaster and bumps their season record up to 20-4. As for Knight, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-51 win against Highland on the 3rd. Knight has also already played their next contest, a 64-17 victory against Littlerock on the 3rd.
