Soccer Game Preview: Head-Royce vs. Bishop O'Dowd

The Head-Royce Jayhawks will square off against the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bishop O'Dowd will be up against a hot Head-Royce squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Jayhawks never let Making Waves Academy get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Head-Royce's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Making Waves Academy are ranked 1046th).

Meanwhile, Bishop O'Dowd won against Alameda on Tuesday with nine goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Encinal. It was an even better day for Abby Forsgen as she scored four goals for her team.

Head-Royce's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bishop O'Dowd, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
