Basketball Game Preview: Durham Trojans vs. Fortuna Huskies

Having just played yesterday, the Durham Trojans will jump right back in to play the Fortuna Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Durham is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.

Fortuna is hoping to do what Anderson couldn't on Friday: put an end to Durham's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Durham walked away with a 51-43 win over Anderson.

Durham's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Payton Santos, who posted 12 points, and Sadie Sjolund, who earned ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Flux, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, it was close, but Fortuna ultimately received the gift of a 46-43 victory from a begrudging Huskies squad. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

Durham has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Fortuna, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-3.

Durham lost to Fortuna on the road by a decisive 60-41 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Durham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
