Baseball Recap: Rome Has No Trouble Against Lithia Springs

Rome won against Lithia Springs on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 15-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.

JD Lanier was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Costlow, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rome was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lithia Springs only posted a batting average of .143.

Rome's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16. As for Lithia Springs, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
